The UEFA Champions League Twitter account published a tweet this morning asking its followers which player came to mind when they saw the Sevilla FC crest. The answers have not been long in coming and, as is customary with this type of question, they have been extremely varied. Some have opted for legends like Antonio Puerta, Jose Antonio Reyes, Jesus Navas The Frederic Kanouté, alluding to his contribution to the club’s history.

Others have taken it with humor. Among the most curious names we find Carlao, a Brazilian forward who came to the club as Ronaldinho’s Brazil Under-17 forward and who never made his debut; Cristian Colusso, remembered for the scam he suffered at the hands of his representative after signing for Sevilla; or Marinakis, who came from Olympiakos to play only 11 games and He returned to his native Greece.
It is never a bad time to look back at the lights and shadows of Sevilla’s history that, like so many clubs, has episodes that are better to forget. The one who are living these last years surely will remain forever in the memory of its fans.
