The first leg of the Europa League round of 32 between the Benfica and Arsenal, set for Thursday, February 18, will be played at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, as announced by the UEFA.

Sanitary restrictions due to Covid-19 have led to a change in the scene of the meeting, originally planned in Lisbon.

The clash between the Portuguese and the English is the third match to change venue. UEFA has already reported the transfer of the stage in the meetings between Real Sociedad and Manchester United, which will be played at Juventus Stadium in Turin, and that of Molde against Hoffenheim, which will be at the La Cerámica stadium in Villarreal, for the sanitary restrictions stipulated by the regulations in force in Norway to access the country.

Venue changes also affect the Champions League. The round of 16 matches between Borussia Monchengladbach and Manchester City and Leipzig against Liverpool will both be played at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.

The confrontation between Atlético Madrid and Chelsea is also pending a stadium transfer, due to restrictions in Spain on flights from the United Kingdom to alleviate the spread of the British variant of Covid-19.
