Mendaro again enters the list of municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants in red, as it exceeds the initiation barrier, standing at 709. From Friday to Sunday our town added 7 new infections.
The previous Friday he left the red zone because in a week there were only two infections but this weekend the situation has changed and again we are in the red, so again the hotel industry is closed, as well as other services such as the Ludoteka and the Gazteleku, these services that take in a significant number of minors and adolescents, this age group being, according to data from the Basque Government’s health department, the population of the Basque Country where the highest number of infections occurs.
The school sport in Mendaro continues not to be activated, so the measure does not affect. The paddle tennis courts and fronton courts will be closed again as group sports are prohibited.
