Rome.- Fifteen Italian athletes tested positive for coronavirus after returning from the Europeans on the indoor track in Torun (Poland), played between March 4 and 7, according to the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport” this Wednesday.
The Italian Athletics Federation (FIDAL) confirmed four days ago that “some athletes” tested positive in PCR tests carried out upon returning from Poland and, according to the Italian newspaper, the number of positives has increased to fifteen infected.
Contacted by EFE, FIDAL assured that at this moment “it can neither confirm nor deny” these data.
