Japan crushed Mongolia 14-0, which constitutes the largest victory for a Japanese soccer team in history, beating 15-2 against Philippines in 1917, in the qualifying phase (Asia zone, Group F) of the World-2022, this tuesday in Chiba.

Japan, who had already beaten Mongolia 6-0 in the first leg, were leading 5-0 at halftime, before scoring nine more goals in the second period.

After five games, the Blue Samurais easily lead Group F, which also includes Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Burma, scoring 27 goals in five games, without conceding any. With three days left in qualifying, Japan is well on its way to participating in its seventh consecutive World Cup.
