Ariel Holan’s team is one step away from achieving an unprecedented three-time championship against Unión La Calera: it would be three crowns behind its archrival.

Catholic University, current two-time Chilean soccer champion, could proclaim himself as monarch of the National Championship 2020 when he faces Unión La Calera this Wednesday in San Carlos de Apoquindo.

For the Crusaders, only one draw is enough to return to the Olympic round and get into the list of the four teams that have achieved three consecutive titles in the highest category, after Magallanes (1933 to 1935), Colo Colo (1989 to 1991) and Universidad de Chile (Apertura 2011 to Apertura 2012). Also, this would be the 15th student trophy in its 84-year history. With this, they would be only three of their archrival, who has not been able to celebrate since 2017.
