The Bosnian striker was barely reinstated and went back to work with the rest of his teammates with his sights set on the duel against Juventus

Portuguese Tiago Pinto, sports director of Roma, assured this Wednesday that the Bosnian Edin Dzeko “He is no longer the captain” of the Roman team after his altercation with Portuguese coach Paulo Fonseca, although he was convinced that the player will continue to give the maximum for the good of the team.

“A club must follow the values of discipline. At this point, Edin is no longer the captain of the team. For the future we will work in the interest of Roma and surely Edin will be the first to work in this regard, “he said. Tiago Pinto at his presentation press conference, organized at the Trigoria sports center.

Dzeko worked for about two weeks on the sidelines as a form of punishment for his fight with Fonseca after the elimination suffered on 19 January in the Italian Cup against the modest Spezia, in a match in which Roma was punished with a defeat, for 0-3 administrative, for making six changes, one more than the allowed limit.

Besides, the Roma had also lost in the field, after a very negative defensive performance (2-4).

Nevertheless, the Bosnian was reinstated this Tuesday and returned to work together with the rest of his colleagues with his sights set on Saturday’s duel against Juventus, according to the capital’s team.

This Wednesday, Dzeko and Fonseca have met in Trigoria and signed a peace, according to Italian media.
